AutoCAD can do 3D work, in fact it can do just about almost everything else, every other product sold by Autodesk can. All the other products were born from AutoCAD. Having said that, unless you already know how to do 3D in AutoCAD, your best option will be REVIT LT, because it does all the thinking for you.
